It’s funny how you think certain things about kids are simply stereotypes. Like, girls liking dolls and boys liking trucks. But, you know, it’s totally true. Theo loves playing in the dirt and with sticks. He goes nuts over cars, trucks and choo-choos. Today, we took him to the children’s museum in Portland and all he wanted to play with was the big ol fire truck and the race car. Not the teeny supermarket. Not the vet area. Nothing but the vehicles.
I try, though. The kid has a doll! He just doesn’t really care about him. But I’m going to get him another doll anyway—a little baby doll to get him ready for the real baby heading our way. Hopefully he will not run it over with his dump truck or beat it with a stick.
