Since Tracy's been here, I've been pushing a double stroller. It's a pain on many levels, but it's actually quite sweet, too. Theo gets the front seat and Zoe gets to hang out in the rear. (It's best to have the child with the lesser ability to throw things in the back, you see.) Theo turns around to say hi to Zoe periodically and even (OMG!) holds her hand. Meanwhile, Zoe has never strolled in an urban-ish environment before. The girl is tickled over just about everything she sees and Theo seems to enjoy her enjoyment just as much as she does.
And people tend to ohh and ahh over babies in double strollers more. I swear, no one gives me a second look when I'm strolling Theo solo. (Nate is a whole other story, though. Women LOVE seeing a man alone strolling a baby.)Double the stroller occupants, double the compliments. Who knew.
