If we still lived in the Lower East Side this playground would likely be old hat to us. But since we are Brooklynites now this is Theoís very first visit to a Manhattan playground. Itís just like ours except there are less kids and thereís a coffee and treats kiosk butting up to the fence. Sweet! If this kiosk moved to Brooklyn I would never leave the playground. Iíd just refuel and let Theo continue to run in circles all day long.
Aside from the convenient caffeine, though, itís weird being in the old hood. Itís like visiting your high school after youíve gone to college, you know? You feel old and uncomfortable. It makes you happy youíve graduated.
