Nate and I left work early today to dress Theo up
like a lion and take him to the children’s Halloween parade. Does Theo care? Of course not. But it’s Halloween,
and it’s his first (sort of
), so to the parade we went.
Nate did a good job of not making me feel like a lion was a lame cop-out of a costume, though. “He’s Theo
the Lion—instead of Leo the Lion!” Okay, okay, I’ll take it. You see, my original idea for a costume was Alvin and the Chipmunks. Theo would be Theodore (duh), and Nate I would fight over who was Alvin and Simon. Alas, motivation lagged. But I think we’ll have to embrace that idea next year—when all three chipmunks can walk.
