Nate got a new job—a big new job. Essentially, he landed his dream gig.
This is pretty darn exciting. Nate’s already all sing-songy. Starting a whole new challenge in the middle of one of life’s biggest challenges is daunting, though. We’re not quite sure if this is perfect timing or really bad timing. Either way, I’m stoked and scared—and I’m not even the one with the fancy pants new job.
that we’d both be able to work from home one day a week is now just that—a fantasy. I’m hoping that the new boss man will be cool about paternity leave. And that Nate’s hours will be normal. And that work-related travel and schmoozing won’t eat into our real lives too much.
But I do know that this is the perfect job for Nate. And a job that makes him happy, brings more happiness into the home—or something less corny sounding, right?
(Leftover Halloween candy also brings happiness into the home. Happiness and binge eating.)
